Will a MCNW Small Business Loan Work for You?
You are a qualified to apply for a MCNW business loan if you—
- Are 18 years of age or older and a US citizen, permanent resident, or have asylum status
- Live in Oregon or Washington
- Have a credit score above 550, or no credit history (visit http://www.annualcreditreport.com for details)
- Are not in active bankruptcy and have not filed Chapter 13 in the past year
- Are current on all personal and business accounts for the past 12 months
- Do not have any unaddressed, unpaid collections, tax liens, judgment, or child support
- Are not in a business that involves speculative investment in real estate, stock or collectibles
- Are below 100% of median family income for your household size and geographic area
- MCNW does not provide business loans for: business operating deficits, research and development, personal expenses, emergency situations, back taxes, or refinancing existing debt
If you have been in business less than one year, additional requirements include—
- An alternate source of income or repayment (such as a job external to the business or a cosigner with income)
- Personal investment in the business (equity, equipment, or significant “sweat equity”)
- A loan request of $20,000 or less; loans over $20,000 are for existing, established businesses only
