Our entrepreneurs are skilled and motivated, but need technical assistance to be successful and turn their business idea into a reality. If you are ready to provide direct support to entrepreneurs, we invite you to share your skills with the community.

Teachers and Presenters

• Deliver a high-powered business seminar to the small business community or co-teach our business planning course for beginning entrepreneurs.
• Required experience:  Business acumen in areas relevant to small business owners including Business Plan Development, Management, Technology, Marketing, Legal, and Finance. Experience with facilitation or adult education.

Counselors 

• Spend one day a month counseling Mercy Corps Northwest Clients on specific business topics. Current skills needed include Business Plan Development, Marketing, Managing Growth, Finance, Law, Capital Acquisition, Product Development, Manufacturing, or propose a topic.
• Required experience: Extensive business experience in topic area and experience with training, consulting, or mentorship.

Organizational Support 

• Help our team to administer these highly effective programs.
• Required experience: Varies by project, but may activities include Client Relations, Data Management, Research, Marketing, and General Administration
