About Your Consultant

As a practicing lawyer and business person, Tom’s career has focused on working with early-stage and high-growth businesses. Currently, Tom is a co-founder of OpenSesame, the largest marketplace for online training. OpenSesame offers over 20,000 online courses through its 300-plus publishing partners. He is passionate about OpenSesame’s core mission to make educational resources more widely available using technology.

Tom has held legal and business positions with several companies, including the Los Angeles Times, Internet Brands, and Knowledge Universe, the largest privately-held education company. He has also been a founder or key team member at four early-stage technology companies. He earned a JD from the University of Washington and an MBA from NYU.
