The Paycheck Protection Program provides small businesses with funds to pay up to 8 weeks of payroll costs, including benefits. Funds may also be used to pay interest on mortgages, rent, and utilities. These loans are forgivable as long as certain conditions are met. The deadline for applying is June 30.

Greg Charles has over 25 years of experience working with all types of businesses ranging from small start-ups to Fortune 500 companies. In 1989, he began managing corporate financial operations and reporting, where he learned the challenges of managing a business first-hand. Greg is the outstanding teacher for the Mercy Corps Northwest LIFE Program that provides Prison and Re-entry Services.
Since 2002, Greg has been active in college and continuing professional education. He has taught at a number of colleges and universities in the Portland, Oregon metropolitan area in the fields of accounting, finance, economics, business math, forecasting and managerial statistics. He currently holds adjunct faculty positions at Portland Community College and Oregon Coast Community College.
Greg earned his M.A. in Development Banking from The American University in Washington D.C. and his B.A. in International Relations from The University of Pennsylvania.
Gabrielle Giscombe obtained her Masters of Business Administration from Willamette University, and has a B.A. in International Business from the University of North Florida. She has a passion for working with minority business owners and those from underserved communities to provide education and counseling on financing opportunities. Since 2015, Gabrielle has worked within Fortune 500 companies, where her roles were in business banking and credit underwriting. She also consults with small non-profit organizations on the side. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, dining out at new restaurants on the east side, exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest, planning her next international trip and spending time with her family and friends.
