SEMINAR: Creating an Identity for your Brand

About this Seminar:

Branding helps products and services stand out and builds recognition and loyalty with your consumers. Your brand identity informs everything your business does in the marketplace – from your logo and packaging design to your website and marketing activities and even your office or retail space. But where do you start? Learn how to translate your business idea into a tangible brand. In this 2-hour seminar you will learn the nuts and bolts of branding so that you can begin to create an identity for your brand.


Expect to learn about the following topics:

  • Learn the value of creating a brand identity from successful brands in the marketplace
  • Create a positioning statement for your brand which will form the basis for your brand identity
  • Articulate your brand’s personality and develop a visual identity for your brand through a collage (feel free to bring your laptop if you plan to do this digitally)

About the Presenter

Lisa Lee is the owner of Lila & Company, a brand strategy and innovation consulting firm in Portland. She’s worked in brand management at Unilever and as a brand strategist at advertising agency BBDO and innovation firm Redscout. Eleven years ago, Lisa made the jump to entrepreneurship and started Lila & Company where she’s led strategy and innovation projects for well-known brands at Pinnacle Foods, SC Johnson, Johnson & Johnson, Microsoft and many more. She also consults with small companies looking to establish their brands. Lisa has an MBA at Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a BA from Tufts University. She’s also a writer and serves on the board of the Women’s Business Council at Mercy Corps Northwest.
