About Your Seminar

Are you interested in opening a retail business but have limited knowledge on ideal locations, commercial brokerage, and accessibility to capital? In this two hour long seminar Elizabeth will provide the students with tips and lessons learned from her experience as a small business owner. She will discuss the importance of lease negation, how to hire and run a small business with no HR department, and provide an insight on how the decisions you make your first years as a business owner can make or break your business. Joining Elizabeth will be Sydney Mansfield the General Manager at Eb & Bean and Sara Daley who is a Commercial Broker.

In this Seminar you will walk away with the following:

  • Strategies for hiring and retention
  • A win-win strategy for building your brand while also building community

About Your Presenter

 

Elizabeth Nathan founded Eb & Bean in Portland, OR five years ago after completing pastry school and discovering a craving for a new frozen yogurt experience that emphasized local and organic ingredients, both dairy and non-dairy. Since opening the original shop in NE PDX, she has grown the business to a second location on SE Division St, with a third location in NW PDX opening in late winter 2019. Elizabeth has lived in Portland since 2007, and is originally from the DC area. She has two kids, Eben (nickname Eb), age 10, and Sabine (nickname Bean), age 6.
