Nationally recognized as the largest continuously operating open-air arts and crafts market, PSM is proud to provide a marketplace for small businesses in Pacific Northwest.  In this seminar you’ll learn information on the proper steps to apply. This session is led by Reid Decker, Marketing Manager for the past 14 years and Sherry Bingaman, owner of Nueva Vida and a member since 2014.

You will walk away with the following:

  • A PSM applications and the guidelines for your particular craft.
  • Types of member and what will fit you best.
  • An over view of the market’s logistics with allocation, set-up and tear-down and loading zone procedures
  • Membership points and seniority program

About Your Presenters

Reid Decker is a native Oregonian. He is currently the Marketing Titan of the Portland Saturday Market. He has worked in the nonprofit world for 17 years. He definitely has something to say about everything. He is an artist but not the kind that can draw.

 

Sherry Bingamancomes from Kenosha, Wisconsin. She sits on the Product Review Committee (PRC) for the market. She has been an artist since she was 9 years old. A textile artist, the folk art and colors found in Mexican, Central, and South American textiles are a constant inspiration.

 

*Scholarship Option 1 – Income Based: Partial scholarships are available from Mercy Corps Northwest to low-income individuals with proper documentation. Applications must be received one week before the start of class to be considered. Link to Online Application.

*Scholarship Option 2 – Designated for People of Color: In partnership with Prosper Portland, we are thrilled to be able to offer people of color scholarships to any  training activity. Eligible clients need to have a home or business address within the city of Portland. Our goal is to make business education accessible to everyone in our community. Link to Online Application.
