RISE – Oregon's online learning resource for women

RISE is a 24/7 online learning platform created by and for women as part of Oregon Women's Business Center at Mercy Corps Northwest

Your last chance to access our on-demand micro-courses on Oregon Women Business Center’s RISE online learning platform will be February 28, 2023.

RISE is the platform that houses all of our e-Learning, including COVID-19-related courses designed to help small business owners navigate the pandemic and emerge stronger than ever. We invite you to explore the free offerings that we have for local entrepreneurs through February 28, 2023 – all accessible at the click of a button.

  • Business owners need all the help they can get. Our free offerings will help you improve your remote working practices, establish and maintain digital security, enhance your record-keeping skills, and navigate long-term uncertainty – through the pandemic and beyond.
  • Created for women, open to all. RISE content is designed to address the specific needs of women business owners in Oregon and southwestern Washington. Our resources and tools are relevant to small business owners anywhere they operate – even outside of the Pacific Northwest.
  • ‘Round-the-clock access. We’re here to provide you with the information you need, whenever you need it. Simply click the link below to access our course catalog, register for the course that interests you, and start learning!

Once the platform closes on February 28, 2023, clients will be able to access new online learning modules by creating a free account on the SBA’s ASCENT website at ascent.sba.gov.

In 1988, the SBA established The Women’s Business Center Program to better help women overcome continuing barriers to success. Today there are Women’s Business Centers in almost every state. Mercy Corps Northwest is proud to host the only Women’s Business Center in the state of Oregon, located in Portland. The Oregon Women’s Business Center at Mercy Corps Northwest is funded in part through a Cooperative Agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
